We're married and it's just a surprise to us as it is to everyone else. We fell madly in love and well with that came the idea to spend the rest of our lives together and conquer this world as a pair. So far it's been amazing and we love everything about being married. Cori's report day was August 23rd. He left out of Washington on August 22nd and has been in Okinawa since then. I however have been stuck in Washington due to my teeth. Funny story (not so much)...In order for me to leave the country with Cori I have to pass a dental and medical clearance through the Air Force. I failed my dental clearance epically. I had a little too much work that needed to be done in my mouth before I could plan to leave the country. I don't understand how my teeth could have possibly prevented me from joining my husband, but in AF words I'm not "stable" enough to travel. Soooo it's been 3 weeks of dentist appointments (five of them to be exact) and today after a root canal and tooth extrasion I am finally able to pass my dental clearance and be on my merry way. Moral of the story? Sour patch kids aren't as amazing as they taste. Will I stop eating them? Not a chance.
If everything goes as planned I will leave Washington on Thursday and reunite with my husband. Woot woot. Once we are in Okinawa we will have so much stuff to share with you all (family, friends, loved ones, and stalkers). We are excited to document strange, fun, exciting, amazing, and life changing things that happen in our lives. Documenting our journey will allow us go back one day and remember where we started.
We will be living in Okinawa, Japan for three years. It will no doubt be an interesting three years and we are anxious to see what it brings. Cori and I really want to explore the island as much as we can. We want to get our scuba diving liscense, learn a martial art, hike, eat at knew places, create relationships with new friends, get our Master's degree, and grow as individuals.
God has amazing things planned for our lives. We have no doubts about this.
Will update from the island once we're both there.
In the last paragraph you forgot to put: have at least one child in those three years.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say, don't have kids so you can indeed do all those things in a much saner, less stressful, sleep-full fashion.
