Settled In.

So we've been living in our home for about a week and a half now and things are finally starting to take their course. I've been used to the complicated, unsure, never knowing life and it's craziness. Now that we are finally settled and the calm has arrived, I don't know what to do with myself. It's a little unsettling...atleast when everything was chaotic I had things to preoccupy my mind, now...NOTHING. Why is it that I always need something crazy and exciting to be happening in my life in order to function adequately?? I started looking for a job this week and so far it's just a bunch of filling out paperwork and waiting for the calls. The waiting kills me. I must be productful. Cori is lucky (atleast I think so) because he has a job to go to every day that keeps him busy with something to do and brings home the mula. I, on the otherhand can't for the life of me be a "stay at home wife" without any kids. It's absolutely boring and mundane. I see a lot more similarities between Luxor and I as the days go by. Our most exciting time of the day is when Cori comes home from work and we are most happy when he is paying attention to us :) Haha...GREAT!

I have met some friends since I've been here and they have been amazing and a great distraction when I start thinking about home. I don't miss California...I miss the people. No matter where you go, those you love will forever be imprinted in your heart and mind and come to haunt you regardless of where in the world you happen to be. We've been staying busy and one of our favorite things to do with our friends is play Wallyball at the gym. It's basically volleyball in a raquetball room. It gets competitive and is always a lot of fun and we leave the gym with sore arms and in Cori's case, a sore ankle. I have also started going to the Zumba classes at the gym which are SO much fun. I've always thought I had some rhythm in me but after my first Zumba class I realized how much rhythm I DON'T HAVE...oh well. Everything is a working progress right? Right! Oh yes...guess what everybody?? I cook. Yes. Who would have ever thought that me, Paloma Soto (now Bemis) is quite the little chef. I've been trying new things and pretty much cook every night for dinner and I must say I enjoy it a lot. If for some reason I happen to make a dish of a lifetime I will gladly share my recipe with all of you.

We got a CAR!!!! A much needed car. Will post pictures later of our first car as a married couple as well as a video tour of our first apartment. I always wonder what we will think 20 yrs from now when we look back and think about how our lives together started and how far we made it. So far married life is great. Every day we learn things about each other we had yet to learn (some good, some bad). I thank God every day for my husband. He is UHHHHH MAAAYYY ZINGGG! But all of you already know this.... Will update later this week about the epic cave exploring adventure we went on this weekend. It was awesome. Love love - Paloma
