Happy New Year!!

So we find ourselves in January with the year having gone by SO fast. Our Christmas and New Years went by too quickly but we had a great time. Cori's birthday is on New Years Eve so we celebrated the day by having a big breakfast, going bowling with friends, going out to a nice romantic dinner, and celebrating the beginning of the new year with friends and birthday cake. We both know that this year will be one of many changes but a year that will only change our lives for the better. 10 days from now marks our 6 month anniversary as a married couple. These past 6 months have gone by so fast and even though we've been dealt our fair share of mishaps, our marriage remains strong and our love even stronger. Right now we are having major car problems that have not ceased to haunt us since we stepped foot on this island.  It is the most frustrating thing EVER. All we want is ONE break from it all, just one or two months where everything runs smoothly...is this too much to ask?!?
I've been working for almost two months now at the local high school with the special ed students and everyday I like my job more and more. Some of the kids are so funny and loving that it's hard to have a bad day when atleast one of them makes you laugh or appreciate life to the fullest.  I will definitely miss them when the time comes to move on. I've also been working on a house project to paint some of the walls in the house different colors. Corigan says that I am bored...He's probably right =)
Cori was selected to take a special course for work this week and next so he is staying busy doing that. He is still working on completing some paperwork to move him (us) in the direction we are supposed to be heading. I am so excited about this.
Overall we can't complain...life is getting a tad bit boring but it comes with the weather. It's not so much fun to live on an island in the winter. There is nothing to do when it gets cold. Luckily, the cold weather shouldn't last that long...it's actually warming up a little too fast this week. It will make for a great weekend!!!!
