First off. I did get accepted to USC after a long period of application drama. I was very excited however very dissapointed that the tuition would cost me an arm and a leg ( that I DON'T have), so Cori and I decided it was not financially possible. I will be looking at other schools in which to get my Masters. Not a biggie, just a set back :/
I got to spend a total of three weeks with my amazing family and friends. It was so good to see everyone and get to hug and bug those that I love so much! I wasn't able to see everyone I wanted to but my time was short and I had plans (Sybil's wedding which by the way was beautiful and fun!)... so regardless of not being able to fit EVERYONE into my schedule, I was blessed. I was sad to leave everyone behind once again but the sadness was definitely overcome by the joy of seeing Cori again and being reunited with my little family.
What do you mean by little? Well our family no longer consists of just Cori and I. We are now proud owners (hopefully for a long period of time this 2nd time around) to a great dog named Lincoln. While I was in Cali, Cori adopted a dog that is impressive in every way. He is one of the smartest dogs I have ever met and follows commands almost perfectly. He is fun, full of energy, and the biggest attention brat I have ever met! I thought I was bad!! Nope, he beats me in the attention department by A LOT. Nevertheless, we have grown to love him and hope to have him around so our future kids will have an amazing and loving pet :)

Lincoln!!
Cori and I signed up for Japanese classes which will start in August. We WANT to learn the language and figured that taking classes is the best way to start. Yesterday we went paragliding and had an amazing experience. It was so much fun yet so peaceful and relaxing at the same time. There's something so calming about flying over the beautiful ocean and taking all the breathtaking views in. Cori saw two sea turtles from above, how awesome! Our friends Ronnie and Gina will be visiting us next month and we can't wait to have them here!!! We have so many fun activities planned and know that they will love the island as much as we do :) The past couple of months we have received notification that we will be getting kicked out of our home in the near future due to renovations that will be done to the building in which we live in. Cori and I were excited about taking this opportunity to move off base and see what it is like to experience the Okinawan culture firsthand. However, we were offered a house on base that was too hard to pass up and we realized that financially it was the smartest decision to stay on base even though it's definitely not as cool as living off base. We're not too worried about it since we do try and get out as much as we can and experience the island for what it is... I love living here. It's BEAUTIFUL! So, to make a long story short we will be moving a week from today and will update you on what our new home looks like shortly. Very excited!

Cori and I are babysitting a little Shitzu named Gizmo. She is adorable but very timid and scared of Lincoln so it was a little weird at first. They are getting used to each other now which is kind of neat to watch. Two dogs is a lot of hard work. What was I thinking?!? We are falling for her though (Cori too). She's too cute and adorable to not want to keep forever. We have to give her back in 6 weeks though.
