Typhoon Chaba

I was really excited to have typhoon chaba pay us a visit because it meant spending the whole day with Cori. What?!?! He has been working a lot lately and I barely get to spend any quality time with him. I promise I am not being a super duper clingy wife!! Anyways, Cori left to work as usual yesterday morning but was sent home quickly since the weather got bad and was proggresively getting worse. At first we had electricity so we both went about doing our own things, Cori played his favorite computer game and I watched a corny/horrible movie. So much for spending quality time with each other huh? Hey! atleast we were in the same building at the same time. I have to say that's it's amazing watching the earth create a storm with so much power and velocity. The winds kept getting faster and faster and our apartment sounded like a train was passing us by every two minutes. It was definitely scary and exhilarating at the same time. Loved it. The power went out half way through the day and now we are forced to actually be around each other :) We actually had a lot of fun...we watched the storm from our stairs outside, we read a book together (Cori actually read outloud while I tried to not fall asleep), we watched the storm from our windows, we ate a candlelit dinner of soup, cheese, and crackers, we made videos (one of which is Cori rapping and my ALL TIME FAVORITE), we made paper airplanes, we cuddled, and we came up with names we would want to name our children one day. Overall it was great spending that time together without any distractions other than the monster storm outside. The storm ended this morning and everything is back to normal. It is still windy outside but not enough to keep us from doing the regular day to day things. Typhoon Chaba came and left and I hope everyone remained safe and there wasn't too much damage out there. Thank goodness it is Friday and we have the weekend to look forward to!! :)
