Thunder and storms today, not much else to do besides read books, watch NBA Playoffs and stay home and relax while the ladies go grocery shopping :) Parentals have been here for three weeks almost and its been a very enjoyable stay. We've seen the sights around the island and been to various beaches, parks and recreation, and enjoyable coastline drives. Friends have come over for dinner and games and shown friendship that can't be found anywhere.
Paloma is currently applying for a master's program from USC for teaching and I'm getting ready to look into a private pilot's license. Both programs should give us something to do in our free time and something to look forward to in our future careers.
One year is coming around and life is good. We've learned to appreciate the small comforts and enjoy the ephemeral luxuries whenever they are abound. Life is isolated here and a little claustrophobic sometimes but beautiful nonetheless. There's a beach everytime you turn around and green hills for days. The Soto-castillo's have enjoyed it immensely.
In a year to year and half I'll have the chance to re-train, hopefully into Medical, or put in an Officer's packet or transition to the ARMY to become a pilot. Till then, I'll be learning and developing myself and my family. Much love.
