END of 2011

Well, well. The year 2011 came and left as fast as it arrived. This year has been a great year full of adventure, discoveries, exciting news, experiences (both good and bad), self-discovery, and love. We have officially been living in Okinawa now for over a year and it has been interesting to say the least. We have welcomed both my parents, Cori's dad, and a couple of our friends to the island this past year and it was such a great time showing them around.

I've gotten used to living in Japan and calling it "home" although I know it is only temporary and that we will be calling some other place "home" soon. Truth is, home is where the heart is and it will always officially be where my husband and soon to be son reside. Like you all already know, Corigan and I are expecting our first child in March. Every day I am getting bigger and bigger and Cai Jackson Bemis is going to be one cute little sucker. I might be biased in this statement but I'm usually right..... =)

2012 is going to be such an eventful year and I must say I am very excited and scared at the same time. I will be entering a new chapter in my life. I knew marriage would be a life changing experience but I have a feeling my world will change even more come March. Oh the experiences that await our lives.

I want to take this time to thank all of our family and friends who have supported us throughout this year in all different sorts of ways. We have met great people here in Okinawa that have become our second families. We've shared laughs, birthdays, celebrations, holidays, and cries together. It's been a huge adjustment to be away from our family and friends and the people here in Okinawa have made the journey SO much easier. Thank you guys!! We love you. As for our family and friends back home....thank you for maintaining contact with us throughout this year. Calling, texting, emailing, and always letting us know that you are thinking of us and that we are missed. Keeping in touch with all of you has made the distance issue tolerable.

We wish all of you a great 2012. Good things await us all.
