Time flies. Thanksgiving went by in a blur and it seems like just yesterday we said our "I do's" and embarked on this journey together. So far married life has thrown us a challenge here and there but nothing we haven't been able to handle and nothing we would let bring us down. We are very fortunate to have each other. God is good and every day He has a way of reminding us how so.
We bought another car! It was a blessing and would probably take all day to explain but to sum it up...we prayed and our prayers were answered. We also met an amazing couple in the process who ended up having Thanksgiving with my family in Maryland this year.
Cori is in the process of making life changing decisions and we are confident that it's the right path not only for him but for our family. We are both anxious for it all to finally play out. You might be seeing us sooner than expected :)
I had a job interview today to work at Kadena High School with the Special Education students. I am very excited and pretty confident the interview went well so hopefully (crossing fingers) I will hear back shortly and update you on the upcoming news!
Cori and I went river trekking to a waterfall the day after Thanksgiving. It was such a beautiful hike and it reminded us of how incredible nature can be sometimes. All of the pictures are posted on our facebooks so stay updated.
We had taco tuesday at our house yesterday where we invited a bunch of our friends for a night of taco eating festivities. I, (Paloma) am in dire need of some seriously good mexican food. It's becoming a problem.
Okinawa continues to be beautiful ...Here is the breathtaking view I stumbled across when I opened our front door a couple of days ago....
As soon as you get back (and I love hearing that it might be sooner that we thought), I'm taking you to Gloria's to have some Mexican food. can't wait! :]
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're enjoying the beauty of Okinawa. It's a rare experience and it's good to hear you're appreciating it.
Anyway, keep updating this thing. People actually read it. Love you!
